English language proficiency in a practical setting is assessed by IELTS General Training. The test’s tasks are designed to assess how well the candidate can use English to communicate in social and professional settings. The test is divided into four sections: speaking, reading, writing, and listening.
The exam’s 60-minute Reading section assesses a candidate’s ability to comprehend a range of sources, including academic literature. The exam’s 60-minute Writing section gauges a candidate’s writing ability. The candidate will be given two writing assignments: Task 1 will be a formal or an informal letter, and Task 2 will be an essay on a preset topic. The 40-minute Listening section of the test assesses a candidate’s ability to understand spoken English in a formal or informal setting. Speaking is a face-to-face test that assesses a candidate’s ability to communicate in general English. The test, which lasts between 11 and 14 minutes, is given by a certified IELTS examiner.
You must first develop a strategy and be certain of your desired band score. You can navigate your journey more easily if you have that plan. Then you require a teacher who can direct you to strengthen your areas of weakness. Our certified workforce at Global ED Group of Companies prepares students for the IELTS GT exam. Our course lasts for two months, however depending on how well students perform, the length may change. For IELTS classes, there are three alternative time slots available. In the classroom, we assist our students in practicing with the exam format. To ensure that the practice tests follow the same format as the actual exam, they are taken from IELTS Cambridge books.
If you are unsure whether to take the IELTS General or Academic, then be aware of the fundamental differences. If you want to study below the degree level or immigrate to an English-speaking country, you must take the IELTS General Training test. The test formats for Academic and General are essentially identical, with the exception that the first writing task on the General Training exam includes a letter and the reading passages are shorter but trickier than those on Academic.
